This is a very special ASTRO workshop collaboration with Tyler Collins Photography and is not to be missed! Tyler is an amazing night sky & landscape photographer and has lived and worked in Finland as an Aurora guide!
We’ll start off the night in the Parlour Room inside The Causeway Hotel where we’ll be learning the fundamentals of astrophotography, how to focus in the dark, finding your composition, how to create star trails and how to shoot long exposures.
After about 1 hour we’ll then get wrapped up and make our way down to the Giant's Causeway headland where we will put what we’ve just learnt into practice and we’ll be shooting the night sky. Not only will we be shooting wide field astrophotography, but we’ll also be shooting objects in the sky with the use of a tracker, so bring your longer lenses as well!
After a few hours of shooting the night sky, we’ll venture back up to The Causeway Hotel where we will be treated to tea, coffee and refreshments. I will then show you how I go about editing my astro photography images, making those images come to life.
Each workshop is limited to only 8 participants, and with 2 tutors there will be plenty of 1-2-1 time for everyone.
While no knowledge of night photography techniques is required for this workshop you must understand that this isn’t a beginners guide to using your DSLR or mirrorless camera. You should already have a decent working knowledge of your camera gear and how the exposure triangle works.BOOK NOW
